Your role with us

As a project manager with us in Construction, you will lead construction and civil engineering projects. The projects include new and renovation of streets, roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parks, and playgrounds, among others. In some projects, water and sewage work is also included as part of the whole. The role spans a wide range of competencies, and you will drive several projects in parallel. In the role of project manager, you are responsible for planning, executing, and steering the projects towards set goals regarding time, cost, and content, according to project directives. You have a central role in the planning, design, and implementation phases of the projects. Identifying and managing risks, as well as continuously following up and reporting on the progress of the projects, is an important part of the work. The tasks include, among others:

• project planning
• leading designers and consultants
• developing specifications for procurement
• driving the implementation of projects forward
• financial follow-up including handling of changes
• inspections
• final reporting

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with completed post-secondary technical education or equivalent long experience in corresponding tasks within infrastructure as assessed by the employer. You have experience leading projects in infrastructure, construction, or related areas, or other experience from construction or building projects where you have had a coordinating or responsible role. It is an advantage if you have experience with projects in streets, roads, or water and sewage. If you also have knowledge of construction law and experience with AB, ABT, ABK, and AMA, we see that as a positive. Experience with public procurement (LOU) is also an advantage. You have good computer skills and work comfortably in the Office suite. Since the work involves a lot of communication and documentation, you express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. A B driver's license is a requirement. To thrive and succeed in the role, you are confident in making decisions, both independently and together with others. You take initiative and drive the work forward. You have a good ability to create and maintain relationships, both internally and externally, and collaborate well with different professional groups. Furthermore, you are structured and have the ability to plan, organize, and follow up on your work to achieve set goals.

The Technical Administration's Construction Department is responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of streets, squares, parks, protected nature, and municipal roads. The department also handles the authority's exercise of the road maintenance responsibility and land management that follows from the technical administration. The department consists of three units: the Execution Unit, the Operations Unit, and the Specialist Unit. The position is located in the Specialist Unit, which is responsible for project management of construction projects.

The Technical Committee is responsible through the technical administration for the development, construction, and maintenance of the municipality's public places and buildings. The committee also has the task of arranging municipal water and sewage supply (VA) and is the road maintenance authority for the municipal roads.
